Keuka Lake Vineyard - SOLD

The weather was gray and cold, but my artist pal and I drove to Keuka Lake to enjoy and paint the last of the fall colors. She got permission for us to go onto the property of Dr. Frank's Winery. From the top of their hillside, we could view the lake and capture all the colorful grapevines. The colors ranged from deep crimsons to yellow golds.

This piece shows an expressive body of strokes partnered with lovely fall colors. It measures 10"x10" and I painted it in oils.

Fall trees on Canandaigua Lake

I went on a 3 day plein air trip with other artist friends to the Seneca Lake, NY area in the fall. We stopped at a log cabin owned by a friend of a friend in Bristol Springs on Canandaigua Lake, and this was the spectacular view from that cabin. It was an absolutely FREEZING, gray day. I was bundled with five layers of warmth, and I was still cold. But, I managed to paint this very loose, colorful piece that I like very much. It's a small 8"x8" and painted in oil.
