I was standing inches from the ocean to paint this piece. Since the tide was coming in, I had to turn around every few minutes to check how close the water had moved toward me. I think I moved my easel and gear three times before I finally had to call it quits! So, I am especially fond of this piece because of that "relationship to Mother Nature."It shows a calmer palette than my usual...a much higher key. The rock shapes and boats draw you into the scene. It measures 10"x10" and is in oil.
