My artist friend and I painted this scene from the rocks behind the Monhegan school looking toward the island Manana. We were so high that we overlooked the rooftops.
This piece captures the expanse of the open water which, by the way, was this true color!
I loved the reds and golds in all the foliage that grew in front of these very dark, intense evergreens.
The piece measures 10"x10" and is in oil
