One of my favorite plein air painters, Jen, returned to NY with her family for a summer vacation. She invited our group to paint at her Conesus Lake cottage. We had lots of fun painting and visiting.
This piece shows the view from shore. Most of the brushwork is smooth and blended, but the foreground shallow water and sand pebbles show up nicely to contrast with the larger, looser strokes of the background.
This, too, is painted in oil and measures 10"x10".
