How Do Ya Like Them Apples?

I selected these Golden apples from the market simply because of the leaves. I waited till they were almost dried before I painted them.......I'm not sure that was a planned event.

This piece measures 8"x8" and I used acrylic with glazing medium.....no water. The surface is an Ampersand Gesso board.

The shadows created these unusual shapes that connected all the objects.....that's what caught my eye.
