Yesterday, eleven artists from the Genesee Valley Plein Air Painters visited the Wadsworth Jerris Estate in Avon, NY to paint on the property. Sally and I were the hosts. What a gorgeous day! The sun was out, the sky brilliant blue. A comfortable light breeze made the day.
I captured the cottage, once a chicken coop, and the pond in front of it. A large weeping willow stood on the opposite side of the pond. The hilly farm land in the background looked freshly plowed.
The piece measures 10"x10", and I painted it in oil.
