This area is near Highland Park which has all the lilacs.Next weekend is LILAC WEEK and there will be buses loaded with tourists who visit this area to see and smell the hundreds of lilac bush varieties. I'm glad we went this week because there were all kinds of people there already, especially near the tulip beds.
This view, near the Lamberton Conservatory, just hit me when I saw a bright yellow forsythia bush in front of a flowering tree. A bright red Japanese maple stood in front of that. What a rainbow of color! I knew I had my painting! It is done in oil and measures 8"x8".
