At the Wadsworth Jerris Estate, just inside the side door patio, I noticed this colorful vase sitting on a black iron table. Since I had already painted a landscape on the estate, I was ready for another subject. This was perfect!
The upper part of the house is stucco, and the bottom is stone. The flowers were mostly reds and oranges. The shutters were halfway in shadow, and were a cool green.
I love the way this piece came out.
It measures 8"x8" and is in oil.
