Kitty in a Bowl

"Kitty in a Bowl" is the second in a series of Black
and White Creatures. I really love the way this came out. The fur is very fluffy and the composition is unusual. It is done in acrylic.

Award Winner "Purple Cows"

This piece is called "Purple Cows" because I did not use any black paint. The dark colors are a mixture of Ultramarine Blue and different types of purples.... hence the name.
I won a Judge's Award in the Henrietta Art Club Spring Show during the first week of May. It is done in acrylic.

Handicapped Doe in My Yard

When I moved into my current home ten years ago, I watched this doe pass by in my yard each day. She was limping. Her right front hoof was all bloodied. Eventually, that hoof dried up and actually fell off. She has been managing all these years without her right foot. Her posture has completed changed and she requires to bend down very low to eat because of this handicap.
Each fall, she is pursued by the bucks and each spring she gives birth to one (or two, I'm not sure) little Bambies!
Although I hate all the damage to my plants and foliage these deer cause, I have been watching (and secretly cheering for) her success.
I finally painted her from the MANY photos I have taken of her. She is quite a beauty!!
Here she is drinking out of my birdbath on my patio.
I painted this piece in acrylic and measures 16x20.
