Some of our great resources in my home town are the Erie Canal and the quaint villages along the water. This view is in Pittsford looking towards Bushnells Basin. The path was busy with walkers and cyclists, so I captured a few as the focal point of this composition.
The sun and sky was bright, but had a slight haze to it which created unusual mauve and pink tones. They are most evident in the foreground water and canal path.
I painted this in acrylic using no water, but lots of glazing medium. It measures 10"x10".
