I visited the Public Market in Rochester a few weeks ago, and saw this African American woman selling veggies. I asked if I could take her photo. She nodded "Yes" and immediately picked up this green fruit container that held a large red onion. I couldn't have planned the composition better!I painted the piece in oil on paper, and it measures 10"x10".
Don't you just love her posture?
