Spoonbills feeding in the pond

These spoonbills were wading in the shallow end

of the pond looking for food. There was foliage all around them and behind. They stood on what appeared to be a small sand bar.
I love the expressive brushwork and the soft palette, but I may change the direction and location of one of the birds to make it a more interesting composition.
The piece was painted in oil and is an 8"x8".
